Let’s bring your vision into focus.
I could promise you the moon all day but it’s the experience you have to trust.
As I’ve mentioned previously, there are many local photographers vying for your attention, wanting your business, selling their brand. That’s wonderful and I strongly advocate for community over competition - always will.
You are here right now because there’s something about my art that draws you in, that makes you feel something. That’s good, because it moves me, too. Taking images is more than clicking a shutter and it’s not about a $500.00 camera or a $5000.00 one. It’s about skill, education, and the desire to improve on a daily basis. This is what I can promise you - the desire to give you art that moves you. A mix of candid and posed, full of emotion that gives you “the feels” years down the road.
“You don’t take a photograph, you make it.” - Ansel Adams
About Me
My name is Angie Wilson and I was raised in Wichita, KS but transplanted to Texas in 2010. I have a degree in Dental Hygiene and practice with it but have always been inspired by the arts. I graduated from Wichita State University in 2008 and it was really hard to leave home - I did it anyway and I now know I was put here for a reason.
I have a beautiful daughter, Willow, who is eight (her birthday is a week after Christmas *insert sarcasm* which I'm sure she will highly appreciate in just a few short years). I lived in Sweetwater for about four years before moving Abilene, and now I call Anna, TX home! I enjoy taking pictures of my daughter as often as she allows but here recently she's a moving target and they are very few and far between. We have a Corgi mix (Maci) who is about 12 years old and a cocker spaniel (Shelby) who is about five.
I absolutely LOVE photography. I’ve owned a camera since 2015 but I never thought I’d be where I am today. I've devoured tutorial after tutorial, book after book, and have even taken a workshop or ten; I am convinced that you can never stop learning about it. My goal is to bring you the very best because after all, they last a lifetime, don't they? I am a FIRM believer that if you do what you love you'll never have to work a day in your life - I guess that's why I find myself up in the middle of the night still working on sessions. I just love it, it fuels my creativity and to hear from a client that they are in love with what you gave them...well, it just doesn't get any better than that, folks.
My specialization is in weddings and portraits (especially seniors and engagement) as they truly have my heart and sincerely look forward to working with you. Those sessions have a special kind of feeling in the air - you feel the love, the excitement, anticipation, anxiousness, you feel it all.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me, I look forward to working with you in the future and hope you have a wonderful day

ANSWERs
What do you shoot with?
Top of the line Canon equipment and a wide selection of lenses!
Do you provide RAW files? How many images do you deliver? What about copyright?
Whoah, that’s more than one question! No, I do not provide RAW files to you. Depending upon the type of session we do, the amount of images delivered will vary from 20 all the way up to 500+. You can read more about this in the information section! I maintain copyright on all images delivered.
How long until we get our photos?
Portrait sessions are guaranteed within three weeks. Weddings are delivered within 6-8 weeks.
Do you backup your images?
OH, heck yes, I do! As soon as I get to my computer I transfer them there, then on a SSD, then on the cloud. You can never be too careful.
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of our event?
I communicate often with many local photographers and will definitely have access to other talent that would meet your expectations. I will always try my best to make you happy.
Should I share a shot list with you or my Pinterest board?
Yes! I always ask that you be open minded but I definitely would enjoy reviewing your vision. On an upcoming wedding, I will send you a very detailed questionnaire three weeks prior to the event that will also help.
Do you require a retainer? Can we do a payment plan?
Yes. Upon booking a portrait session, a $50.00 non-refundable retainer is due (balance paid on the day of session). For weddings, a 25% non-refundable retainer is due upon booking with balance in full due within 30 days of the event.
For portrait sessions I don’t typically offer payment plans but contact me and we can always talk! Wedding payment plans are definitely doable.
Can we meet you in person?
Yes, I would love to meet you! Let’s grab a coffee, on me, I’m sure we have a lot to tell each other.
My family Of 5 (3 under 5 years old) did a session for Xmas cards. Angela was extremely patient, she never made us feel rushed at all! I didn’t like my pose in one of the pics (my fault) and she asked if i wanted To do it again. Paying invoice/signing contract was super organized and easy. Her turnaround for edits was extremely fast. We were told one week and it was 2 days! Will definitely use her again!
