Modern Ft Worth Wedding

Wow, four blog posts in a little over a week? I think it’s safe to say I’ve been a busy girl this summer. How has your summer been? Any pool time? Working on that tan? Did you go on vacation?
My family went on vacation on the last week of June. We went to Fun Valley in South Fork, Colorado and what a great time of year to go! The high never reached above 80°F in the daytime and the low was around 40° every night. After a week of this it’s almost depressing to put away the brand-new sweatshirts we got – you know this Texas summer won’t allow for any of that here – we probably won’t see these sweatshirts again until December.
I got some AMAZING photographs of the mountains and I was even able to get one of my four-year-old running towards the snow. Yes, snow! In June! Granted, it was melting but that’s such an amazing sight to see.
I will say, driving over a pass in a four-cylinder SUV was terrifying for me. It might be because I’m simply not used to it, I’m not sure. Climbing the pass was scary but the decline was TERRIFYING. Just think about it – I had to ride the brakes almost the entire time to maintain the speed limit (and of course the worry wart in me had multiple thoughts on if, just what if, my brakes had a malfunction). Eeek!
Ok, enough about that, I have chills all over again.
A week before vacation I traveled to Ft. Worth to be a part of an AMAZING styled shoot headed by the amazing Tirzah McFarland! It was intimate, laid back, and the bride and groom were a real couple. Yay, you’ve got to love that – no faking the connection there!
Y’all. I LOVE this venue. If you are looking for a super modern and functional place to have a session I would say you have found the right place. The entire front is a floor to ceiling window w/many mobile backdrops and colors. There is another room as well, so this would even be great for hosting an intimate wedding.
The vendors that were a part of this shoot did a great job – the cake smelled delicious, the florals were the perfect touch, and the calligraphy was beautiful.
I can’t wait to shoot here again.
