Love-Filled Maternity Session in Abilene TX | Angela Wilson Photography
Long time no talk, y’all!
It’s literally been a full month since I’ve blogged about anything. It certainly hasn’t been for lack of want, though! As we all know, 2020 has been turned and flipped on its ugly little head, and I’ve not had a lot of content to write about recently. It’s been a blessing in disguise in a way, though. I have been able to spend a lot of quality time with my five year old and my mom. A LOT (we are ALL going a little stir-crazy right now). I’ve been making it a point to take little drives and a walk a day with her so keep at least a little active. I will say that I did neglect to organize clutter or clean my bedroom that looks like a teenager lives there - I’m telling you this because I know that I can never say again that I would do these things if I just had the time.
On to the real bread and butter of this post! Harley is a co-worker of mine and we’ve been talking for months about a maternity shoot. I am thanking my lucky stars that timing turned out the way it did, as I was able to take her maternity pictures right before we really had to buckle down on social distancing. Together with her husband, John, we met at 41 Creek Ranch for an evening of memory making. All week long we were keeping an eye on the weather as it was supposed to rain heavily on the day we had planned her session. That morning, it looked like it was going to hold and so we went ahead as planned. Turned out the rain held itself until the next day, hooray! A big deal for all of us as the weekends ahead were jam-packed (little did we know that was soon to be changed).
With the weather setting the PERFECT scene, doesn’t she look straight out of the movie, Brave? I thought this when we were actually taking pictures but even more so when I was going through all the images. I love her hair! I told her I hope so badly her sweet little girl has her hair. I think the thing that made me giggle so much about Harley’s pregnancy is that she was all baby, walking away from you you couldn’t even tell she was pregnant!
Sweet little Remi was born on 04/07/2020 with a head full of dark brown hair and the most precious cheeks I’ve even seen. We had planned on doing newborn pictures but we were not able to do that, unfortunately. We’d rather obey the law and keep everybody healthy and happy!
I hope this blog finds you all well. You don’t need to hear it from me, but wear your masks and wash your hands for 30 seconds, your family members will thank you! Until next time, my friends!
