Lifestyle Family Session in Tuscola TX | Angela Wilson Photography
Hi friends! Another week has blown by - goodness it’s been a wild ride so far, hasn’t it? This weekend I photographed an amazing wedding at The Grace Museum. It was laid back, peaceful, and the reception was super fun. Everything you want your wedding to be, actually. The families were so sweet and down to earth, I love it when the day comes together perfectly. I actually cried during speeches but I’ll save all that for their blog.
I try to write often because I love sharing personal stories with pictures. I feel that when you add the human element to your art (yes, I do fully believe photography is art) it just makes it more genuine. I met the Stovall family a few weeks ago and this is their story/session.
Kaedy contacted me asking for a session at their newly built home in Tuscola a few weeks ago. She mentioned the family had just moved from the Midland area and were excited to live in a different area. She also told me that they have horses and land - that’s when I went all heart eyes on her. I LOVE lifestyle sessions, they are so incredibly fun to capture especially if you have little ones running around the house. Her boys are two and five and they were exactly how I had pictured (Mom did mention to me that she thought the horses would behave better than the boys, haha!). Tuscola holds a special place in my heart, I moved to this area 10 years ago and I became very close to a co-worker who lived out there. Every time I make the drive in this direction I am flooded with memories, lots were had there.
Pulling up to the house my jaw nearly dropped to the floor board, it was so incredibly beautiful. I’m not an architect or a designer so I’m not sure if I’m even correct when I try to describe it to you, but I’d call it a contemporary farmhouse? I’d also call it my dream home, especially after coming inside. Tall ceilings, wood beams, ship lap, oh my! Basically everything I have ever wanted and I’m genuinely happy for them and their forever home.
We spent a large portion of their session in different rooms of the house before going outside, that’s when I got to meet the horses! Sweet and friendly, they both came to the fence for some great images of the boys petting them. We finished off the evening in the field with a beautiful sky and I couldn’t have asked for more. I have included a large majority of their session in this blog and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
As for booking Fall sessions, I only have October 4th and 5th available. If you don’t sweep these dates up, you’ll have to wait until late November or December where the weather gets more unpredictable. Don’t delay, guys!
