What a summer, folks!
I can say with 100% certainty that it’s been my busiest summer I’ve had in a long while; between work, vacation, sessions, workshops, and weddings, it’s hard to find any time to sit down and simply relax. That’s a blessing in disguise though and you won’t find me complaining one bit. I love this gig, I love the people, and I love the creativity it fuels in my soul.
I wanted to share a recent shoot that I was so lucky to be a part of.
Kenzie Pearce of Maywood Photography put together a lovely little workshop with some absolutely fantastic vendors at 41 Creek Ranch.
Our couple (Amy and Marshal) have been married for ten years and have two little ones - like anyone (probably, haha!), I’m sure they thought it would be amazing to have a shoot focused on their love, to enjoy themselves for a few hours without worrying about the kiddos.
We wandered around the ranch for a few hours in what felt like 120 degree weather but it was SO worth it, as you’ll see below.
Stephanie from Jordan Events put together a beautiful table spread and the florals from Fussy Chicks were simply amazing. We had some beautiful calligraphy place settings from Raine Calligraphy that added the absolute perfect touch. Amy’s hair and make up was done by the lovely her_editary - the perfect amount of glow and her girls at sunset caught the perfect amount of light.
If I could impress one thing upon a newly engaged couple, it would be the importance of hiring a professional wedding photographer. I’ve said it a million times by now - all that hard work you’ve put into your special day gets taken down and either thrown away or forgotten. Pictures last a lifetime and it’s so very important to capture every little detail, the special moments, your loved ones loving on YOU.
