Golden Light Engagement Session in Abilene TX | Angela Wilson Photography
Happy Thursday, friends! Wedding day is almost here for Kim and Seth - in two days, to be exact! I can’t wait to be a part of their big day at The Grace Museum, I’m positive the day will be full of love and light (and a LOT of fun).
I met Kim and Seth a couple of months ago to talk about their upcoming nuptials in a local breakfast nook. We spoke about their vision for the day and what I offer as far as wedding packages go. To make a long story short, I was honored (and still am) that I was chosen as their wedding photographer.
Engagement photos come first, though! I met the couple a few weeks ago at 41 Creek Ranch for a sunset session. I just love this location and I have four or five PERFECT spots to get beautiful light to fall on my subjects. Seth seemed quiet when I first met him, that wasn’t the case for this session! Cracking jokes and having a lot of fun, THIS is what I love to see. Who likes to have a boring, stiff session where no one is enjoying themselves? As we walked and talked, it turns out that they run (like literally run, as in marathons) with my boss and his wife! It’s a SMALL world, guys, it really is.
A fun moment that evening included a modernized American Gothic pose, per Seth’s request. The jokes that were had at that poor painting’s expense were priceless, I don’t think I’ll ever forget. Oh, and when I told them to walk like they were drunk, haha! Seth didn’t disappoint here, either. My favorite though is when I get a couple close and take the moment for themselves, breathing each other in - THAT is my favorite.
As I said earlier, I’m super excited for this weekend and can’t wait to share the day with everyone. Until then, enjoy this full gallery. See you soon!
