A Fantastic Sunset Family Session in Abilene TX | Angela Wilson Photography
I am so blessed to have had so many gorgeous sessions over the last two months considering this year has been the worst I’ve ever experienced; most people my age can probably say the same thing. When Morgan of McGuff Photography came to me asking for a family session I almost did a backflip, of course I wanted to do her family session - honored is more like it, actually.
I met Morgan a couple of years ago when she was relatively new to the area, her being a family photographer herself I found I was able to relate to her in multiple ways as photographer’s usually do. She has two gorgeous girls, one of which is similar in age as my little firecracker which always makes it a little easier to photograph.
Morgan had her family coordinated beautifully which is one of the best things a photographer can ask for. Burgundy looked gorgeous on Jaycee with her beautiful brunette hair and the gold deer w/pops of olive green gave Jensyn the sparkle she needed. Every time I look at these girls I am amazed how the oldest looks exactly like Mom and the youngest looks exactly like Dad.
As always, I let the girls go play so I could catch some intimate moments with the parents. Y’all I think if you’re capable (I mean, it’s not always possible if there’s an infant), GIVE THIS TO THE PARENTS - life is strenuous, life is hard. Give them those precious moments alone where they can breathe in each other, where you can capture their true selves. This family in particular I knew was important because Dad is in the oilfield and is gone frequently (which I can relate to, too).
The day after this session Morgan went in for back surgery so I scurried to the computer to give her a generous sneak peek before she was put under, I know seeing her family was important before that difficult time. I’m happy to share that she’s healing and doing well, she’s even printed these pictures and started a gallery wall which looks gorgeous.
Here is their entire gallery, enjoy!
